[Lady Layton]Lady Hawks land 5 on first team for All-District 15-4A

  TEXARKANA, Texas — North Lamar dominated the All-District 15-4A softball awards, while Pleasant Grove had five players make the first team.

  Jaycie Hall (Most Valuable Player), Karsyn Iltis (Offensive Player of the Year), Sloane Hill (Defensive Player of the Year and the Pantherettes’ coaching staff each earn a superlative.

  Gilmer’s Sarah Philips, Pitcher of the Year, and Raji Canady, Newcomer of the Year, rounded out the superlative awards.

  Pitcher Lexie Snyder, infielder Adi Koller, infielder Natalie Nickolson, outfielder Timia Cooks and flex player Hailey Allen each earn first-team honors for Pleasant Grove.

  Liberty-Eylau had a first-team player in infielder JaKai Ray.

  Paris’ JordanAndrade, Gilmer’s Melody Larkins, North Lamar’s Macy Richardson, North Lamar’s McKenzie Dickson, Paris’ Hope Hampton and Gilmer’s Ryleigh Larkins were all named to the first team.

  Rounding out the first team were North Lamar players Noel Rainey, Claire Stewart and Emma Layton, Paris player Reece Reavis and Gilmer players Kirsten Waller, Karlye Johnston and Addison Walker.

  The Lady Hawks’ Presley Humphrey and the Lady Leopards’ Taliyah James earned second-team honors.

  Honorable mention went to Pleasant Grove players MacKenzie Williams and Zoe Smith.

  Nickolson, Isabelle Hackleman, Ann Elise Lindsay, Snyder, Cooks, Harleigh O’ Neal, Humphrey, Koller, Haylie Teague, Williams, Kaylee Gann, Allen and Dakaria Moreland each made the academic all-district team for the Hawks.
