Logan Paul wore a shiny Charizard Pok└mon card around his neck as he entered the ring for his exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Sunday night.

The YouTuber headed to his hotly-anticipated exhibition fight in Florida ready for battle, as he made his way to the ring sporting a rare Charizard Pok└mon card around his neck like a prized medallion. Kotaku notes that the card is actually a first-edition, gem mint 10-graded Charizard that has significantly increased in value since Paul acquired it for $150,000 last year.

The shiny card caught the eye of several spectators after DAZN Boxing shared a video of Paul’s walkout, showcasing the prized possession. “Did Paul just flash a Charizard? We live in Hell,” wrote one Twitter user. “Man thinks this Pokemon Go or something,” added another. “Does Mayweather get to keep the Charizard when he wins?” someone else quizzed.

Paul estimated the value of the card at a press conference after the fight. “It’s a BGS 10 Charizard, first edition Charizard. It’s one of three in the world. It is my prized possession. Ever since I got this graded at a ten, the momentum in my life has been crazy. It’s my good luck charm,” he commented. “This is the card I walked out [with] to the Floyd Mayweather fight. This is a million-dollar card.”

The resale value of Pok└mon trading cards has skyrocketed over the past few years, making them a hot commodity decades after debuting across the globe. In 2019, collectors offered a $1,000 reward for information on the whereabouts of a $60,000 Pok└mon card. More recently, scalpers scooped up a bunch of McDonald’s Pok└mon cards, and a man was arrested after a literal Pok└mon card heist.

Rare Pok└mon cards, in particular, have been known to sell for hundreds if not thousands of dollars, but it can be difficult to determine which cards are valuable collector’s items and which are simply cardboard nostalgia. To help turn your Pok└mon cards into pennies (and hopefully a lot of them), IGN has created a guide to help you learn a card’s worth and where they can be exchanged for money.
